Subject: reformatted poem: An unexpected visit to the dentist

I made an unexpected visit to the dentist today,
I was not pleased or elated in any way.
I was sucking on a sweet candy,
The taste was delicious, sweet, fine and dandy.
Then, suddenly I did unintentionally give a hard bite,

Afterwards, I saw a horrible site.
My tooth and the crown fell out,
I was upset and began to silently pout.
The dentist was not in due to his vacation,
I was in no mood for smiles or elation.
My front tooth was missing, and there was a big space,
I was embarrased to have a smile on my face.
  Finally Wednesday
  afternoon at three,
had to face dental visit anxiety and reality.

I did see the dentist and a root canal he had done,
It was of course, long, tedious and no fun.
Now I have to take antibiotics to avoid infection,

I did not like the novacane injection.
Thrilled was I that the tooth was able to be saved,
However, I will not jump for joy when the bill arrives in the mail and it has
to be subsequently paid.
