Friday May 1, 2009 I want to apologize if you got duplicate emails today. My software acted up and, well, when I checked my email it only had one paragraph, but I got four copies of it...weird! So, I went back to the old version and everything went out fine. I deeply apologize.
In His Hope, Sharon ENJOY! What do working people gain from their hard labor? I have seen mortals weighed down with a burden that God has placed on them. It is beautiful how God has done everything at the right time. He has put a sense of eternity in people's minds. Yet, mortals still can't grasp what God is doing from the beginning to the end of time. I realize that there's nothing better for them to do than to be cheerful and enjoy what is good in their lives. It is a gift from God to be able to eat and drink and experience the good that comes from every kind of hard work. Ecclesiastes 3:9-13 It's Friday. Some of you have great plans for the weekend. Go ahead and enjoy yourself. I believe that's what Solomon would tell you. When I interviewed for the great job I once had at the Methodist Foundation; one of the main things I got across in the interview was that I try to make work fun. I try to make everything fun. I like having fun. I love laughter. It didn't take them long to recognize that I was serious about having fun. They found it quite contagious. Life is much too short to allow it to depress us. Yes, we may have depressing times, but when we stop and consider the scope of God's plan for us - why allow Satan to make us miserable and steal the simple joy God placed in us through the power of the Holy Spirit? When it is our time to check out of this world we know that we will take nothing physical with us. All that will travel with us to the other side of eternity is what we have done for Him. So, why get bogged down in all the hustle and bustle in the meantime? Why not live in the moment and leave the rest to Him? Yes, I am serious about everything. I take seriously His call on my life. Even though I am a serious person, and everyone that knows me knows I am, I am also a very fun person. That is balance. I hope you realize that is one of the major points the Lord led me to get across this week. We are to be busy about His business, but in the process we can live, love, and laugh. Father, guide our steps as we live the joyous life that You've blessed us with. Touch all of those folks that are bogged down in depression today. I pray that You will send angels to minister to them and help them gain a new perspective on this life You've given them. Thank You for Your love! ******************************************* O.
