Oh, during my life, so many important things my mother did teach me,
She filled my heart and soul with goodness, kindness, compassion and humility
To understand others' plight and to make it a better world, was her goal,
She taught me to admire the beauty within and to honor each departed soul.
Not to speak evil or others nor to gossip, I was taught,
To be optimistic and happy both in actions and in thoughts.
To send a sunshine embrace and to cheer the downhearted and the sad,
Never to bear grudges and to apologize and for others' accomplishments be
glad.
To dry the tears and calm the fear of a person who is alone,
To support another emotionally by speaking on the phone.
Never to give up and to admit defeat,
Always to move on and never retreat.
To see the rainbow in the sky after the storm,
To pray and thank God at dawn.
above all, my mother taught me never to be ashamed, bitter, or afraid.
Never to feel guilt or regret at mistakes that were made.
Oh, mother dear, your wisdom and heart of gold were indeed gifts from God
above,
My heart is bathed in your memories of unconditional deep and eternal love.
