May is a month of surprises,
With late elegant sunsets and majestic early spectacular sunrises.
Trees are adorned with their new leafy clothes of a splendid green,
The blue sky is clear and serene.
Birds sing their early morning tunes so sweet
Adorning bright smiles on our faces with each and every tweet tweet.
Mothers are honored on their special day,
We show appreciation and adore them in every way.
Students graduate from higher education,
Parents and family and faculty cheer with victories shouts of elation.
Poems are published on line,
We sit outside and bask in the radiant warmth of the golden glow of sunshine.
Letters that we write appear in the local paper and are read with glee,
Oh, that is a blessing to say and write and to be free.
To be observed by others while teaching English skills,
And to be commended and praised for teaching them and appreciated for their
progress is indeed a thrill.
To be enchanted by the fragrant flowers as they add a beautiful colorful
rainbow to the garden of mirth,
Adds zest and energy to our beings, as we thank God for being alive and for
all kinds of life on earth.
Thus may has surprises for both you and for me,
We sing and smile joyfully.
