This is great. I go to a Memorial Day service almost every year.

A time not to shop for sales, or at the golf course to play,
Rather a day for reflection, honor, and to meditate and to pray.
A day to remember all of the young men and women who were so valorous and
brave,
To cruel wars, they marched off to and their lives for freedom they so nobely
gave.
Visiting their resting places and graves,
We laud them for liberty that they preserve and save.

thinking of them in a tender loving appreciative way,
To me, is the true meaning and essence of Memorial Day.
To all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in deepest gratitude,
  we pay homage to you,
Patriotic courageous Americans all were through and through.
Now, you dwell with the Lord, in eternity above,

  With deep admiration, we cherish
and remember you with sweet special love.
