HE WILL SEARCH

"Tell them, 'As I live, declares the Almighty LORD, I don't want wicked people
to die. Rather, I want them to turn from their ways and live. Change the
way you think and act! Turn from your wicked ways! Do you want to die, people
of Israel?'
"Son of man, say to your people, 'The right things that a righteous person has
done will not save him when he rebels. The wicked things that a wicked person
has done will not make him stumble when he turns from his wickedness. The
righteous person will not live when he sins.'
I may promise the righteous person that he will certainly live. But if he
trusts in the right things that he has done and he does evil, none of the right
things that he has done will be remembered. He will die because of the evil
things he has done. I may warn the wicked person that he will certainly die.
But suppose he turns from his sin and does what is fair and right. He returns
the security for a loan, pays back everything he stole, lives by the rules
of life, and does nothing evil. Then he will certainly live. He will not die.
None of the sins that he has done will be remembered. He has done what is
fair and right. He will certainly live."
Ezekiel 34:11-16

Where are your children? Whether they are at home, at school, at work, busy
with their families or wandering around aimlessly in the dark - God is seeking
them out for a deep relationship. Is that comforting or what?

God appointed Jesus as The Good Shepherd. He is the one who came in search of
the sheep who strayed. Now that job is given to the Holy Spirit He will indeed
bind up the injured and strengthen the weak. I have experienced that through
the multitude of people in my life who are obedient to Him. Through the many
times of crisis in my life, people ministered to me in too many ways to list. I
was strengthened by His love through them.

Sadly, when people step outside the perimeters of God's will for their lives
and begin to hurt those who follow Him, mercy and grace no longer prevail -
His justice takes over. Yet, He listens to the prayers of His children and I am
praying for your children and mine to be restored.

Father, thank You for the consolation of Your Word and the hope You implant
into us through the power of the Holy Spirit. I thank You for the people You
place in our lives who are led by His power. We pray that You will move in the
lives of those who are estranged from You. Let Your justice bring them to
a place where all they can see is their sin before them and they have to turn
to You in repentance. Great is Your faithfulness!
