Sparkling like the stars twinkling brightly, My mother's eyes always danced with a smile and sprightly. Brown and full of love were they, Beacons of precious light were they, guiding me down life's highway. Displaying such tenderness, They would sing a song of loving happiness. In times of sorrow, they would be full of tears, But in times of joy, oh did they exalt with exhuberance and cheer. Full of hope and assurance they would give to me, Soothing fear and anxiety. Through those eyes, a beautiful peaceful place was seen, So pleasant, loving and serene. Oh, how I miss those eyes gazing mirthly at me, For their beauty linger in my mind, heart and memory. Six years ago, those eyes were closed as mom passed on, But in my heart, they will forever be a treasure and a gem of eternal flare and charm.
