In today's world, many, if not most of us, live our lives at a breakneck pace. If you compared our lives to a VCR, we are running on fast forward. That's why I love the Thanksgiving Season. It is an opportunity for us to press the "pause" button and catch our breath. As we pause, we can take time to reflect on where we are and how we got here. We can stop and remember that we are blessed beyond measure, and that too often we take those blessings for granted. Sponsor Ad Sometimes the blessings are in the realm of the spiritual. God has given us His grace, His mercy and His favor, and poured out on us so many spiritual blessings. But as our lives speed by, we find we often fail to thank Him for them. Sometimes those blessings come in the form of people. Our family, our circle of friends, co-workers, ministry partners or fellow church members... all of these people are a part of who we are. Our lives would be far poorer without them. But frequently in our "fast forward" lives, we neglect to tell them how much they mean to us. Sometimes those blessings are material or financial. Proverbs 10:22 says, "It is the blessing of the LORD that makes rich, and He adds no sorrow to it." God is the source of all of our material and financial blessings. But, sadly, in the midst of our busy lives, we sometimes forget where it ultimately comes from. When I take a moment to pause, here's what I realize: I am grateful for God's provision on me. I am thankful for my wonderful family, especially for the joy of my son born this year. I am thankful for all of the people God has surrounded me with. And I am very thankful for you, our Streaming Faith family. Most of all, I thank Him for the assurance of an abundant life in Jesus now, and the promise of an eternity in heaven. Today as you gather with family and friends and celebrate Thanksgiving, I encourage you press the pause button and reflect on the many, many blessings that God has poured out on you this past year. May God bless you and yours on this special day. Chance Mason President, Streaming Faith O.
