About a year or so ago, I was meeting with a
friend for lunch who happened to be a worship leader for a local church located
in Atlanta, Georgia.
Before we could even give our order to our
waitress, he began to share the struggle he was having with leading his church
into what he called a 'corporate' worship. He discussed how it seemed that
there was always a group of people that he had to instruct to stand, beg for
them to life their hands, and despite how he tried to select songs that he
