Since we belong to the day, let us be
self-controlled, putting on faith and
love as a breastplate, and the hope of
salvation as a helmet.
( 1 Thessalonians 5:8 *NIV )
Dear Addison,
Now with all of the temptations in the World today, it is
important to keep focused on our Savior Jesus Christ.
Therefore; Be strong in the Lord and in his
mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so
that you can take your stand against the
devil's schemes. ( Ephesians 6:10-11 )
So always; Stand firm then, with the belt of
truth buckled around your waist, with the
breastplate of righteousness in place, and
with your feet fitted with the readiness that
comes from the gospel of peace. In addition
to all this, take up the shield of faith, with
which you can extinguish all the flaming
arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of
salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which
is the word of God. ( Ephesians 6:14-17 )
This is because; Your adversary the devil
walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom
he may devour. So, Resist him, steadfast in the
faith, knowing that the same sufferings are
experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
( 1 Peter 5:8-9 )
So Addison, the next time that satan tries to tempt you,
"tell him to take a hike," for you are a Child of God and
wearing your Spiritual Armor as well! AMEN!
