I'm finally getting around to integrating DBIx::Class into my development project - should I begin learning/using with the latest dev release ( 0.07999_01),
or would I be better off starting w/ 0.07002?

They're not functionally hugely different; the reason for 07999_01 was primarily to allow testing of some substantial optimisation at the storage layer in terms of how we handle $dbh reconnects. So, basically, take your pick :)
