Dear Matt,

You are a God.

Seriously, you hit the nail right on the head and have been extremely helpful.

I see, so long as the coupon knows who its parent listing is, a listing will be
able to find its coupon through the relationship even if listing does not have
a coupon field.

Though the system is actually working and in beta now I will try what you
suggest and perhaps everything will just work or nearly so.

I will do some reading on db design so as to try not to bug you in the future
too much.
Perhaps because your system is so powerful, it quickly shows up holes in one's
dba-hood upbringing or lack thereof, and perhaps the perldoc is targeted at a
similar audience.. in that sense it is a bit like handing an automatic rifle to
a squirrel. ;)

As for all my other tables, I had added a dummy record at ID 0 to all the
tables to forestall autovivification as you or someone had suggested I am
thinking of leaving them in place and be sure to allow nulls in the future,
considering the system is generally working fine now.

Thank you very much and my apology for suggesting the behavior caused by my
hyperactive db design (paranoia it seems is not a merit there) was due to any
shortcoming of your superb module.

I still think it could use a whole lot more pod for less db-savvy people, since
everyone is now hearing DBIx::Class is the best (especially for Catalyst),
which might cut down on ML traffic. Personally I'll be more careful with
schemas in the future, and thank you very much indeed for your help.

Best wishes,

Matt Rosin
