I have the same problem that my conditions are set by the user so I can
not define a new result source based on my query.
I looked at DBIx::Class::Helper::ResultSet::SetOperations but I cannot
modify my resultset class.
Elaborate on the origin and nature of your restriction ("cannot modify
resultset class")
