A cow-orker saw weird behaviour earlier when he tried to email the list

I'm getting this: Cannot send to m8sf-i...@xemaps.com
    with the body being:
An email you sent to 'm8sf-i...@xemaps.com' was refused by the
remote mail server.17:25
    No additional information is available.

I haven't seen the message in my inbox, but it has appeared in the
list archives:

http://lists.scsys.co.uk/pipermail/dbix-class/2013-March/011159.html

Is this normal? How long do messages usually take to propagate out?

Is the error normal?

Just pondering...
