Hi,
Today we tagged current cvs and started working on the combining of the
postgresql and mysql driver code - the code is practically the same and
maintaining the same stuff on different locations just isn't convenient.
We've chosen to build the new driver system upon C++. No it's not
beautiful to mix c with c++ but the coding advantages are convincing:
virtually all the methods can be implemented once, differences will
only need to be made to some specific functions and
connecting/querying/resultset methods.
just to let you know, cvs after this tag shall not be stable for a few
days.
