I had that problem only once so it's impossible to say if it's fixed, but my quick tests with todays cvs version were fine. Did anyone ever do an automated test? Take a huge mbox file (LKML archive for example) or create nonsense mails, calculate md5sum of one mail, insert it into dbmail, fetch it using IMAP and check md5sum again.
