There is nothing to prevent people from adding whatever columns are
appropriate to the users table, or if you prefer to not be able to query
these fields with sql, a varchar/text with comma separated values. Could
even go so far as to add options to configure for commonly used optional
users columns, although I can't see why that would be necessary.
