I just installed 2.0-RC6 and was trying to use dbmail-lmtpd with exim and found on delivery, exim fails with:
Operation timed out: SMTP timeout while connected to 192.168.231.162 [192.168.231.162] after RCPT TO: So I tried a LMTP session by hand, and it appears the handling of RCPT is not implemented at all according to RFC 2033: ftp://ftp.rfc-editor.org/in-notes/rfc2033.txt While the RFC shows a response should be generated after each RCPT command, dbmail-lmtpd sends all the responses at once after the DATA command. Am I just missing something here? Should dbmail-lmtpd be expected to work? I had though that in an RC release everything would basically work, with minor bugs maybe, but I can't see how this can ever work with any MTA. I'd be glad to fix it if the owner/author is not able to, but it seems so obviously wrong I wonder if the problem is really me.
