currently, DBMail does not set the correct return path when forwarding
mail. This can be easily solved by using the '-f' switch of the sendmail
executable.
Are there people who would like to be able to force different return addresses
on the command line? 'dbmail-* -f configfile' works for most of the binaries
right now (and the rest should be fixed and/or upgraded to getopt). But, for
consistency with sendmail, 'dbmail-smtp -f [EMAIL PROTECTED]' would make sense.
dbmail-smtp -f <return-path> already works. Well.. it works if you call
sendmail -f <return-path> from dbmail-smtp, which I've just done.
Is there any objection to doing this?
None here, sounds like we should already be telling sendmail such useful info!
I'll be committing my (very small) patch right away then :). I'll also
update INSTALL.postfix. I don't know how to configure Exim, QMail and
SendMail (which we currently don't even have an INSTALL file for yet..),
so somebody else will have to give me a clue on how to update those
INSTALL files.
