Interesting.. That makes atleast 3 reports of this. > > After only 8000 messages delivered, the 20 (IDLE) processes > > are each eating 14-20 MB of ram, totaling around 330MB ram. > Yes, exactly the symptoms on my box, except I've limited > dbmail-lmtpd to 5 processes. I killed dbmail-lmtpd, and restarted them again.. And I'm back to the same memory usage again already. Definately not good for busy servers. > > I guess this might have been fixed already in the upcoming > > 2.0.1. > Nope, don't think so, my box is running a cvs checkout > of dbmail_2_0_branch from 2004-11-20 03:36 CEST After reading the wiki status page I can't say I see anything related to lmtpd that should fix memory-leaks either. So, where to start looking? As a little status update, I now have 13.000 mail in the database consuming about 1.2GB mailbox space and 1.5GB total db size on disk. Delivery is getting a little slower than initally too, averaging 70mail per minute now. (Again: Untweaked setup) -=Dead2=-
