So I know this comes up now and then. I was hoping to peak some new interest in using GUID's in place of the incrementing unique_id's in the current code base.
This would be the key to non-colliding id's for a loadbalanced/failover system on a master-master mysql. If this doesn't fit into the current priorities, I'd love to see it find a place in the dbmail development schedule for the future... 2.2 , 2.3 .. 3.0? ;) I added a Wiki entry to the wish list with a quick summary as well as links to relevant threads from the past year to help take advantage of earlier thoughts. wiki: Feature Requests, Wish List http://www.dbmail.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=start#6 wiki: Replace unique_id with GUID for Load Balancing/Failover http://www.dbmail.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=unique_id_guid Thanks, Kevin Baker
