Is --with-pic mandatory on 64-bit systems? 2) Even with the pic parameter, a warning is displyed in ./configure output, though everything seems to work fine anyway: libtool.m4: error: problem compiling CXX test program What's this warning about? Should I worry about it? I'm pretty sure that platform has not been tested, and surely not the SuSE distribution in particular.
