BTW: my main point from that whole email was not well-expressed. The key point is that there probably is no correct answer to what the user expects, in that it is likely to depend on the user and even on the situation. If I have learned anything from being a sysadmin, it is that you can have user meetings and surveys all you want, if a system could have two behaviors, some users will expect one behavior, some will expect the other, and some will sometimes expect one and sometimes the other. - Morty
