After those few messages, the messages are not copied correctly, that is, headers are missing, the message body consists of a few characters only, attachments are missing, and the timestamp is set to current date and time, that is, those messages are not copied, I guess, but instead some gibberish is inserted.

I've tested against dbmail 2.2.10 and 2.3.2 and neither seems to suffer from this. At least: not on thunderbird-2.0.0.14-ubuntu.
