The following issue has been CLOSED ====================================================================== http://dbmail.org/mantis/view.php?id=439 ====================================================================== Reported By: jasb Assigned To: ====================================================================== Project: DBMail Issue ID: 439 Category: Authentication layer Reproducibility: always Severity: feature Priority: normal Status: closed target: 2.3.0 Resolution: open Fixed in Version: ====================================================================== Date Submitted: 05-Nov-06 14:55 CET Last Modified: 29-Jul-09 06:16 CEST ====================================================================== Summary: IP/Username logging Description: I'd like to see a new column in the dbmail_users table with the last_host/ip login. I supose that this is not dificult sinse already there's a last_login with the CURDATE() in it, in the same function add the host/ip.
Could this be done? ====================================================================== ---------------------------------------------------------------------- (0001534) aaron (administrator) - 05-Nov-06 17:26 http://dbmail.org/mantis/view.php?id=439#c1534 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I'll one-up you: there should be a logging table of ip/user connects and login attempts. Let's schedule it for 2.3. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- (0001538) jasb (reporter) - 05-Nov-06 22:01 http://dbmail.org/mantis/view.php?id=439#c1538 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Great! I thinked in that too because i have the same setup with ProFTPD, a table with the user login's with date+ip/host. I'll be waiting for it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- (0001540) jasb (reporter) - 05-Nov-06 23:11 http://dbmail.org/mantis/view.php?id=439#c1540 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- I was thinking, even with this table for the user login's, should exist a column for the last host/ip logged for this user, i say this because: For the new table for the users logins there will be the column with the host/ip, this should have a parameter in dbmail.conf to enable the logging or not, i say this consedering the amount of size that this table will have in 2/3 or 1 year. Give me your feedback Aaron. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- (0002870) netvulture (developer) - 29-Jul-09 06:16 http://dbmail.org/mantis/view.php?id=439#c2870 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- dbmail_authlog was added in 2.3.6 to fill this request.
