Description: Good Morning,
I am attempting to install dbmail on an ubuntu server, using a mysql DB. The first issue I hit was when trying to run the /configure --with-mysql command which resulted in a warning stating that --with-mysql is an unrecognised option. After browsing the web for an explanation I came across http://www.mail-archive.com/dbmail@dbmail.org/msg16722.html which states "You have to install libzdb and it'll handle the rest. Then you have only to specify on dbmail.conf that u'r going to use mysql" The problem I'm having now is installing zdb on ubuntu, could you please provide some advice on if and how this is possible. As for a reporting a "bug" is it not a flaw in the system i.e. a fairly serious "bug" if your product does not work with a common system setup such as ubuntu and mysql? Moving on to my original question, would it really have been too much work for you to reply with a simple yes or no, or even point me in the right direction to find the answers for myself? In any case due to your terse response, to what is really a simple question and the first contact between your company and a potential client, I will not be using dbmail. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- (0003192) paul (administrator) - 16-Jun-11 10:59 http://www.dbmail.org/mantis/view.php?id=906#c3192 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ian, This is an open-source community driven project. Not *my* project. The tracker is for bugs. It says so quite clearly on the welcome page. For general installation issues there is the dbmail mailing list which you can find under 'forum'.
