Just a quickie -- sendmail renames its argv[0] variable to update the state of connections, which is really useful.
Doing a ps ax with dbmail only shows lots of dbmail-pop3d processes. What
about updating this based on states? Eg.
dbmail-pop3: waiting
dbmail-pop3: login
dbmail-pop3: handling requests for <username>
Etc...
