personally I would suggest amavisd + clamav + SpamAssassin -- the documentation is clear and straightforward, the entire thing can be integrated into a single startup script (along with your postfix and dbmail processes), and the performance is amazing when you use a RAMdisk for the scrubbing.
I could maybe write up a HOWTO for Linux / Postfix / DBmail if you like.
