the adduser program logs to /var/log/mail.log; to find out what's
happening you could open a terminal and execute
tail -f /var/log/mail.log | grep adduser
then in another terminal run your adduser command.

I am facing problems with the dbmail-adduser utility. I am using mysql
4.0 database and dbmail-1.1. I am getting the following error...

Where is the error logged. I am not finding the log files. I looked at
the man-pages for dbmail-adduser, it says the errors are sent to the
trace output as set in the Dbmail configfile. But am not finding any
such thing in the dbmail.conf.
The dbmail.conf file says that "configuration file needs to be run
through dbmail-config to be effective
after that, changes are effective inmediately". But when I compiled i
didnt get the dbmail-config binary, though it compiled without any
errors.
Could you please let me know how do get dbmail-config and how to get
dbmail-adduser working ?
