Hi,

I've currently got 2 servers running a "conventional" postfix/uw-imapd
solution, and I've been looking to replace this with a more reliable system
in the event of a machine failing.

Having come across dbmail today, I'm impressed so far :-)

But just a quick question..

I plan to have one of the servers acting as the master, and the other a
slave.. Doing backup MX and having the mysql database replicated to it. In
the event of the master failing, I was planning on just switching the DNS so
it would be transparent to users.

Are there preferred methods for running something like this in a 2 server
configuration? Is it possible to use a different host for the smtp process
when adding new mail to the database, and a different host for pop3/imap
services?

Thanks in advance,

Matt
