In the directory where you have the dbmail source: sudo ./install-dbmail.sh
or sudo sh ./install-dbmail.sh (if that doesn't maybe run sudo as a shell with the -s or -u flag, I dont have my mac os system nearby) Otherwise it sounds like you built it successfully.
