Hello all,
I'm back thanks so much for the pgsql tweaks I installed them. Didn't really
see much of an improvement but that's ok.
Thanks so much to Paul Stevens who pointed out that I should use configure
instead of heeding the INSTALL writeup which says to use ./build.sh
It would seem you have a good tight knit of developers who don't need much
assistance.
Just a little note to help fill in some gaps and I'll be on my way.
The system I was testing dbmail on is a 550 Mhz PIII with 512Mb ram running
FreeBSD 5.1. and postgres7.4b4.
Using thunderbird as my imap client sucked goats. however using squirrelmail
showed better response. At all times when loading mail lists or searching
100% cpu was noted. But as I mentioned earlier, Squirrelmail pulled up the
mail list in my inbox much more rapidly than did the mozilla mail client.
(version 0.2 Thunderbird, 1.4 Squirrelmail).
No one addressed the problem I had with the dbauthpgsql.c file, So I'll take
it that my patch was a bad one.
Clearly you guys know more about SQL and all than me. I'm glad I got a
chance to try this. I'll keep an eye out for version 2.0

Ciao

Mare
