Did you try sendmail -t with no quotes around it in dbmail.conf? I had a similar problem a while ago, but I have since changed my system so that dbmail doesn't generate any messages, and my MTA handles aliases, etc. Check the archives too if you haven't yet. There might be something helpful. xn
