Hello,

  Yep .. double-check your config settings as mentioned, then all
you need to do is start the imap daemon (dbmail-imapd, I believe).
If it's running and you still can't connect, make sure port 143
(or whatever you set in dbmail.conf) isn't firewalled somewhere.
