Hello Tim,

TG> ok, what i had done was changed the /usr/sbin/imapd to
TG> /usr/sbin/dbmail-imapd, if i have disable=yes, i dont see how the
TG> dbmail imap server can work ?

dbmail-imapd should NOT run as a xinetd service... it's intended to be
run as a daemon on start-up. There has been some discussion on the
list about patching it to allow it to run under xinetd, but that is
experimental at best.

When dbmail-imapd starts, it tries to bind to port 143. In your case,
however, that port is already under the control of xinetd, so
dbmail-imapd considers this to be a fatal error, and aborts, even
though xinetd started it.

Try disabling xinetd's control of port 143, then start dbmail-imapd as
a daemon (there is a script somewhere around here to do that on
start-up).
