For MINSPARECHILDREN and MAXSPARECHILDREN something like
2 and 5 should be fine, depending on your load. For MAXCHILDREN try
40 or more if your sql server allows that many connections.
These new config settings are part of the preforking code that
are targetted at the 2.1 release. They may or may not be included in
the final debian packages for 2.0. It depends on the feedback from
people like yourself who are willing to test, and IC&S's willingness to
include the code in CVS.
I'm preparing new packages... As soon as dbmail's CVS server comes back
online I'll update and upload.
