Hello,
I don't seem to be able to send email anymore when I change my dns and gateway address. However receiving email keeps working. (I use dynamic dns, so it takes only 5 minutes to update the dns record). When I change the dns/gateway address back, everything works again. Its driving me nuts. I need to change those addresses, since I am switching from provider. Outgoing smtp traffic is not blocked by the provider. So, that can't be it. See hereunder for the error in the maillog. May 13 15:23:34 mailer postfix/smtp[223]: connect to hotmail.com[64.4.33.7]: Operation timed out (port 25) May 13 15:24:00 mailer dbmail/pop3d[208]: PerformChildTask(): incoming connection from [192.168.1.3 (sharon)] May 13 15:24:00 mailer dbmail/pop3d[208]: pop3(): user jankees logged in [messages=0, octets=0] May 13 15:24:00 mailer dbmail/pop3d[208]: pop3_handle_connection(): user jankees logging out [messages=0, octets=0] May 13 15:24:04 mailer postfix/smtp[223]: connect to hotmail.com[64.4.32.7]: Operation timed out (port 25) May 13 15:24:04 mailer postfix/smtp[223]: B9F907C: to=<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, relay=none, delay=60, status=deferred (connect to hotmail.com[64.4.32.7]: Operation timed out) I can ping hotmail or any other machine on the internet, so the new dns/gateway are functional. Any ideas? Jan-Kees
