Hello,

I use dbmail for a while now, and I'm very happy with it.

New in dbmail is ACL and the permissions a user has to a mailbox.

When I look at the propertiesdialog of the inbox of some user, with the
imapprotocol, I see that the user can have different rights. The useraccount
used to login has all the permissions.

What I don't understand is, how can other users have access to this mailbox?
You need the useraccount (the same with all the permissions) which "ownes"
the mailbox to login right? And no other account.

So I can assign permissions to other users to the mailbox, but as they can not
login it's of no use, right. This can't be true (or everybody but me is
stupid) , so somewhere I am overlooking something.

Can somebody explain how these ACL, permissions and the use of a shared
mailbox work?

Stef
