Micah means the TRACE_LEVEL entries.
If your syslog doesn't show any activity perhaps:
- the daemons aren't running
try 'ps aux|grep dbmail'
- no mail is being injected
try:
#!/bin/sh
cat >> testmail << EOM
From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Subject: testing
testing
EOM
cat testmail |dbmail-smtp -u yourusername
rm -f testmail
check the dbmail_messages table isn't empty. Same for the dbmail_messageblks
table.
Connect with your imap client to the mailbox for 'yourusername'. The testmail
should be in your INBOX.
And always keep a console open with a trace on the syslogs that hold the mail
logs.
If you set TRACE_LEVEL=5 in all the right places your syslog will become very
verbose.
