[Dbmail] dbmail-util check

Hi There, I know that this subject has been covered before, but im just 
putting my nightly backup script into production and would like some 
input/check...

This is the correct maintaince run?: dbmail-util -cturpd -l 24h -qq
How often would someone recommend this be run. Nightly?

Also... I am simply doing a mysqldump for the data each night. Without 
moving to a second server replicating the first (at this stage), would 
anyone recommend a better mysql data backup?
