First off I want to thank everyone who made possible or contributed to the Dbmail project. This system is absolutely wonderful in fact the whole project is amazing the docs are great the website clean (blue robot template right?) What I have seen from the maillist archives very helpful subscribers too. I am extremely excited about this system, set it up last night at around 3am, and aside from a few minor hiccups it was raw but working by 6am. Could have do it faster but my brain only functions at about half speed that time of night. So impressed at how well things worked I could hardly get to sleep have a million questions the possibilities of the concept seem limitless.

However I hope that this long rant does not bother anyone on this list I am so impressed with Dbmail that I thought it prudent to share my positive feedback.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU

Server Specifics

FreeBSD version 4.10 stable
dbmail-mysql-2.0.0_2
postfix-2.1.5_1,1
procmail-3.22_5 with TLS
p5-Mail-SpamAssassin-3.0.2_1
clamav-0.82_1
clamsmtp-1.2

My first question relates to webmail I have read through the archives and found Dbmail-webmail, Dbwebmail, Jwma and even some how-to for Squirrel mail. Currently I run Squirrel mail and have been messing around with Horde and Imp but am not very pleased with SLOW performance from both.

Also I use Procmail and Spamass and need an interface to write filters and spam setting Imp has such features but I cannot get Imp to generate correct filters and it is very slow and resource heavy. Something Optimized for the Dbmail system would be great does Dbmail have such filter features built in?

Next is a webadmin interface, what is the best I have checked out DBMA it looks very appealing and see some others what do you folks recommend. Wouldn’t a link for users to create there own account be great too think DBMA might support this or one of the webmail’s?

Thank you in advance please do not think me as lazy just do not want to spend a bunch of time goggling around and installing programs to see which one are superior suiting my needs.

Have been doing alot of work with cell phone email and would love to hear of anyone else’s experiences with this especially keeping data costs low.

Look forward to contributing to this project in any way that I can
