I have been working on converting my vpopmail system to dbmail. The only problem I have had so far is that I cannot add an alias to point to another alias on the same system. You may ask yourself, why would I want to do that? There are a few reasons. Here is one.
I work at a call center. We have high employee turn around. So when an employee leaves, I delete their account and then create an alias with the same name that points to the department manager. Our department managers also come and go or are out sick, so I have an alias pointing to them so I can easily redirect their mail. So mail from (Xemployee1)-goes to->(deptmanager)->realuseraccount Each of the above entries in () is an alias. This makes management very easy. According to the database schema, an alias points to a user_idnr, which means that it needs to be a real user to work. Is there anyway around this within dbmail? Thanks, Matt Postfix DBMAIL 2.0.4
