EXPUNGE returns a fatal error, whereas it should return a non-fatal
error. Fixed in 2.0 and trunk.

The 'OK completed' is part of the disconnection sequence.

I'd like to see some trace level 5 logs here if possible.

Also, please send your mail regarding dbmail to the dbmail lists and try
to report bugs through the bugtracker. Other people may have the same or
similar problems and they will benefit from any solutions thereof.
