You are kinda stingy in supplying info about your prob but try this...
First, in case you didn't already, run:
dbmail-util -tub -y
or
dbmail-util -a -y
Sounds like odd MUA issue if you are using IMAP. Flush the MUA's data with a
folder rescan see if that fixes prob. (Try the simple first :o)
If it is POP3 and you are told that there are messages by the MUA yet cannot
download them yet you are sure you are connected ...phew... you may need to
clean up the database.
Have you used DBMA (DbMailAdministrator) or any sort of MySQL Admin to get a
visual on what is happening to your database? Try using DBMA
(http://dbma.ca) as it is able to fix probs of this nature.
Elsif you can only access by command line:
Try and identify the physmessage_id (dbmail_physmessage.id) numbers before
and after the "gap" you refer to and what if any mailboxes (Orphaned? It
happens.) they belong to.
Do you have out-of-sequence header/body/attachment rows? Bad reference to
dbmail_physmessage.id or mailbox? It can happen from messing with database.
Do this if you can afford to lose the mail in the buggered mail boxes....
Once you are sure of the culprit messages' mailbox home, delete the
pertaining mailboxes -- which will cascade to and delete the broken
messages -- and then run dbmail-utils all yes and then recreate the needed
mail boxes.
If this is a new build, don't waste time with the above. Reconstruct your
database schema from the DbMail tarball ./sql/mysql/choosesomething.sql

currently we using Thunderbird as a mail client and squirrel mail as
webmail. We are unable to recieve headers or bodys. but our clients are
telling us we have new mail. After looking at mysql we seem to have a jump
in numbering in the messageblks table.. could this be our problem.. if so
how do we fix..
