I tracked the evolution problems down to two problems.

First we have a problem, where evolution is requesting a full list (1:*)
from the imap server. This fails sometimes, but the UID numbers are correct.

The other problem is when evolution is asking for a specific range(1:37).
This lead to problems, that some the UID's in the reponse are very high or
simple missing.

I think problem one could be a bad message. Problem two seem to be some
problem in dbmail it self.

Would it help you to give you access to my dbmail test server for testing
with evolution?
