Paul,

This "NAMESPACE" thing, is to have public folders across users, like the ms exchange does?
For example if i want to share a folder for several users.

Simon,

The supported namespaces '#Public', '#Users' become visible to clients
that support this after you setup ACL records in dbmail_acl. You can do
that through imap also using the SETACL commands. For example:

1 login someuser somepassword
2 setacl otheruser sharedmailboxname lr

Using this sequence 'someuser' grants read access on 'sharedmailboxname'
to 'otheruser' after which this mailbox will show up for 'otheruser' as
'#Users/someuser/sharedmailbox'

Afaik, only Kmail supports SETACL at this moment.

There's also a wiki about setting up a '#Public' mailbox on the dbmail
website.

this is a lamo question, but how do i go about acually configuring
this from the server end for a client to use this?

Thanks
