My header looks like:

Mdbmail-lmtp, P=[IPC], F=DFMAhmXz5@/:|, S=EnvFromSMTP/HdrFromSMTP, R=EnvToSMTP/HdrFromSMTP, T=DNS/RFC822/X-Unix, A=TCP $h 24

How does your mailertable look like?

It should contain something like:
server.tld dbmail-lmtp:[127.0.0.1]

(As I used dbmail-lmtp as mailername, and the lmtp server is on localhost).

Does dbmail reject the message, or doesn't sendmail even try to deliver it to dbmail-lmtp?

Please try to use more "returns" in your email, thus making it more readible.

/Marc

I am experementing with dbmail as a replacement for the local mailer for a host of servers that the company I work for maintains. I would like to be able to move into using dbmail but am having a few issues. We use sendmail and I would rather not get rid of that. I have dbmail running and delivering to one user. This user has a couple of dbmail aliases set up that when sent to should also deliver to the user's dbmail mailbox. The problem is it only delivers when the email address is set as [EMAIL PROTECTED] not when set as [EMAIL PROTECTED] I get a user unkown message for the [EMAIL PROTECTED] but the message is delivered when sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] This is the command I used to set up the user. dbmail-users -a user -w passwd -g 0 -m 50M -s [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] This is my mailer definition. Mdblocal, P= [IPC], F=lsDFMmnqSXzA5@:|, S=EnvFromL/HdrFromL, R=EnvToL/HdrToL, T=DNS/RFC822/SMTP, A=TCP localhost 24 I have added the following to sendmail.mc and removed MAIL(local) define (`confLOCAL_MAILER',`dblocal')dnl MAILER(dblocal) I then rebuilt and installed the new sendmail.cf file and restarted sendmail. I tested by sending messages to both [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED] but I get a user unkown error in the log files for [EMAIL PROTECTED] Any help or input would be greatly appreciate. Thanks Steven
