There's some information in the Wiki about shared mailboxes, which also mentions LDAP:
http://www.dbmail.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=shared-mbox&s=shared
Had you seen and/or tried this?

I believe the trick is to have a shadow user in the database.
Also, DBMail Administrator (http://library.mobrien.com/ dbmailadministrator/)
is able to create/manage shared mailboxes in DBMail:
http://library.mobrien.com/dbmailadministrator/DBMA_ACLs.htm

However, I'm not sure if this also works in conjunction with LDAP auth.
Maybe Mike can answer that question?

Can you send your settings in DBMail.conf.
I have 40 Clients, they get their Mail with IMAP, Auth is with LDAP.
I often has the message:

"relay=127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1], delay=0, status=deferred (lost connection with
127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1] while sending RCPT TO)"

I dont know why the connection get lost.

Betreff: [Dbmail] Public and shared folders with LDAP

I am evaluating dbmail 2.1.7 with a view to replacing our
cyrus imap server. So far I am liking what I see.

I need to use LDAP auth against our active directory server,
and that is all working well.

The only issue I have is how to set up shared and public
folders. I have done this successfully using sql auth, but
nothing I have tried has given any joy using ldap.

Is this possible, and is so, what is the recommended method.

Thanks

Dave Smith
