Oleg,

Please specify *how* you're connecting to dbmail. Looks like there some
garbage being sent to dbmail by your client.

You can try creating a network trace using tools like (t)ethereal/wireshark

Does it work when you startup the cli interface (dbmail-pop3 -n)?
