could you publish a tarball that is ready for ./configure && make &&
> make install ?
> So something that doesnt need auto* to be run?
Check the download page please. configure is in the tarball.
sorry, i havent looked to closely when my ebuild fails. Gentoo ebuild
tried to compile the source in .../dbmail-2.2.0_rc1and not in
dbmail-2.2.0rc1.
the files like 2.2.0_rcX.tar.gz?

Policy is as policy does. What's keeping you from renaming the tarball
yourself?? I also have to rename tarballs to accomodate debian policy
(i.e. dbmail_2.2.0rc1.orig.tar.gz), and tomorrow someone doing rpms
needs something else.
I dont want to put the tarball on an extra download location and tar it
again with new pathname. (perhaps i will do for the rcX, if there are not to
much).
I will update the ebuild in sunrise ...
